Services

Our core service and the very essence of Home-Start is around offering holistic family support. We work primarily with local families who have at least one child under 11 year’s old.

By working alongside the parent we can offer guidance around parenting, boundaries and support with emotional issues caused by the pressures of parenting and family life.

We can also assist with more practical support such as transport to and from appointments and guide families to widen their social networks.

In addition we recruit and train local people to become volunteer Mentors who are then able to work alongside the staff team and visit families weekly to support with their particular needs.

Each family is offered an initial meeting and assessment of needs and a bespoke package of support is agreed with the family.

Currently we are not receiving any funding for this core service however are working towards this and continue to support as many families as we can.
